A food and fluid diary for kidney disease, with the source on every number.
Log what you eat and drink. See potassium, phosphorus, sodium, protein and fluid next to the targets your kidney care team gave you.
What makes it different
- Official food tables, offline: USDA FoodData Central (US), Canadian Nutrient File (Canada) and McCance and Widdowson's CoFID (UK).
- Every number shows where it comes from: the table, its version and the food's code.
- "No data" is never counted as zero. If a table has no potassium value for a food, Renalday says so, and your daily total says how many foods are missing.
- No score and no traffic lights. Renalday doesn't judge foods. It shows the numbers.
- Your team's targets, not ours. Maximum, minimum or range, in mg or mmol, entered by you.
- Barcode and label reading on the phone, with every value confirmed by you before it is saved.
- No account, no ads, and your diary stays on your phone.
- Renalday Recipes: 30 recipes for each country, with potassium, phosphorus, sodium and protein per serving worked out from your country's table, ingredient by ingredient. Recipes that contain pork, beef or alcohol (such as vanilla extract) say so, and you can hide the ones with pork or beef.
- A report for your visit (PDF or text) and a CSV of everything you logged, free.
- Large text, dark mode, VoiceOver, and profiles for the person you care for.
- In 9 languages: English, Spanish, French, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Vietnamese, Filipino, Arabic and Punjabi.
Renalday is available in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada, each with its own official food table.
Searching foods, seeing their values and browsing the recipes is free. The report for your care team, the CSV and the password-protected backup are free, always. Logging your day (food, fluid, lab values, blood pressure, weight), your own and imported recipes, label reading and more than one profile are part of Renalday Pro (monthly, yearly with a free trial, or a one-time lifetime purchase). If you stop paying, everything you logged stays on your phone, and you can still see it, export it and make the report.
